Surgical procedure
- Upper Blepharoplasty

An incision is made along the planned double eyelid crease, and depending on the case, some sagging skin, muscle, and fat are partially removed.

The end of the muscle responsible for opening the eye is then connected to the skin, creating a dynamic double eyelid with minimal visible scarring shen the eyes are closed.

Lively Lower Blepharoplasty

With aging, the skin, muscles, and other tissues around the lower eyelids become thinner and lose elasticity, causing the under-eye fat to protrude. As a result, the underlying bony structure becomes more visible, and the tear trough appears sunken.

An incision is made along the lower lash line, about 2-3mm below the eyelashes, following the natural skin crease.

The protruding fat is then repositioned into the hollow area of the tear trough.

If necessary, a portion of the fat is removed, and the underlying muscle is secured to the periosteum to achieve lifting.

This procedure lifts only the sagging eyelid skin and soft tissue without altering your natural appearance. An incision is made along the lower edge of the eyebrow to remove the excess skin and muscle, then the underlying tissue is secured to the forehead muscle to eliminate bulging and minimize scarring.

Lively Scarless Brow Lift (Endoscopic Forehead Lift)

At Lively Plastic Surgery, our endoscopic forehead lift uses a Full HD endoscope to precisely identify and preserve important blood vessels and nerves, while weakening the muscles that pull the eyebrows downward. The forehead skin flap is lifted only to a tension-free degree and secured with Endotine. Endotine is gradually absorbed within about six months, providing a natural and long-lasting forehead lifting effect.

Both sagging eyelids (pseudoptosis) and true ptosis can cause the eyelids to cover much of the pupil, giving a tired appearance. These conditions can be corrected with double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction surgery.

Brow ptosis narrows the distance between the eyes and the eyebrows and also causes the eyelids to droop. This condition can only be corrected by lifting the position of the brows through a forehead lift. If double eyelid surgery or ptosis correction is performed while brow ptosis is present, the eye–brow distance becomes even narrower and the upper eyelid appears bulkier, resulting in a harsher or more stern appearance.
